Installation

Q: The taskpane will not load. A: Confirm Excel is signed in with the same Microsoft 365 account used for sideloading. Then close and reopen the workbook.

Q: I get a manifest validation error. A: Re-download manifest.xml from the Download page — manifests are versioned and stale ones can fail validation.

Engagements

Q: Can two auditors work on the same engagement at once? A: Yes — engagements live in the workbook. Use OneDrive or SharePoint for co-authoring.

Q: How do I share a completed engagement with a partner or reviewer? A: Send the workbook itself — every workpaper, tickmark, and evidence link travels with the file.

Licensing

Q: How do I add a device to my plan? A: Sign into the taskpane on the new device. Each Excel installation counts as one device — Free 1, Individual 2, Institution 11. Deactivate an old device from the taskpane to free up a slot.
